Phone socket relocate.
WiFi router in the wrong location? We can relocate the master phone socket to a more convenient location.
Until recently BT previously installed the Master phone socket near the front door, which was great in the 80s when the internet did not exist and it was just a phone. However the internet hub will need a power supply and these are rarely near the front door. Therefore you would have to fit a new power socket which cost a fortune or drag an extension lead across the floor.
Most of the major internet providers do not move the socket to the best location, they just run a extension socket which is a maximum of 10 meters away from the master socket.
We can relocate the drop cable, move the socket to a better location, run extensions.
Moving the Master socket not only will be more convenient but it may also help the broadband coverage by moving the socket and therefore the router

WiFi optimisation
We offer an optimisation service. This can be changing the channel, frequency, splitting the 2.4Ghz and the 5Ghz, Changing the SSID and password.
doing a few simple changes to the router setting can improve the performance.
We can help mesh your system together devices, run ether cables to and from the router, install switches and boosters.

Ethernet Cabling.
You do not need to pay electricians prices to have this cable run and terminated. We feel passionate about internet and ensuring that it runs perfectly when it is needed. many tradesmen and handymen & women, do not share the same passion, therefore the cable is run badly, terminations are done incorrectly. Electricians deal with all things high voltage and keeping you safe, builders build things.
We deal internet.
CAT5e Vs CAT6- CAT5e can handle data transfer up to Gigabit (1000mbps) up to 100 meters. However CAT6 can handle 10gigabit (10,000mbps) up to 55 meters but gigabit for 100m. it is not just speed that is the difference it is also bandwidth, the amount of data that it can carry at once.
To be honest, gigabit speed is still in its infancy and not many households want or need gigabit speed. So CAT5e will fit most scenarios, plus it is cheaper.
If you are starting from scratch and your are re-wiring your house, we would advise to run CAT6 cable in the walls and floors. if you just need your Wi-Fi booster, sky box, to work in garden office/gym or just need a cable run from your router to the PlayStation/Xbox then CAT5e ethernet cable is perfectly fine for your needs.

Wi-Fi Access Points
Wi-Fi access points (WAP) are belter versions of internet boosters.
Boosters carry a second-hand information wirelessly from hub to booster, if booster is to far way the performance will be even worse.
A WAP has a ethernet cable from the hub to the access point and will produce a high grade signal and carry nearly as much speed as the router. because these WAPs are so good they can be hid in a more convenient place, loft space/cupboard under the stairs or even behind the sofa.
This type of system is not cheap compared to the cheap plug in booster. However if internet and Wi-Fi is important to you for working from home or gaming then this is the way forward to get the best out of your service.. please contact us for a free site survey and a no obligation quote.
Mesh Network Systems
Mesh system is a method of having Wi-Fi coverage throughout your property. There are many types of systems out there on the market. you may already have something similar in your property i.e. Sky Q, BT discs, Ring doorbells, Sonos, amazon and google devices. these all work on the same principles however you do not have access their network.
We can supply and install the mesh system or optimise your existing set up.
